At the eve of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union, Flanders invites you to a series of environment seminars, which we have the honour to present you during the Shanghai Expo at the Belgian Pavilion. Flanders is a productive, industrialised and densely populated region in Belgium. Within the Belgian federal state structure, most aspects of environment and nature policy lie within the exclusive competence of the regions.
It is with honour that the Flemish Minister for Environment and Nature will preside over the Environment Council during the Presidency of the European Union.
 
Government agencies from the Flemish environment and nature policy domain, research institutes and several Flemish eco-innovative enterprises have coordinated efforts to present you with four seminars attesting to the latest developments and creating a dialogue with our Chinese counterparts, in our joint effort for a sustainable and prosperous future.
