Getting out of Moldova goes a little faster than going in; we were back on the road in three hours : Johnny, Magda, Jan and Valeria, in the cabin! Up to the border with Ukraine, 120 km further. In the middle of nowhere we found a little restaurant where we had lunch: good ‘zama ‘– Moldavian soup with chicken. Around 16.00h we arrived at the border of Ukraine. Luckily Valeria is here to help us, she speaks Russian, because the Ukrainiers don’t seem to have seen a Carnet ever! Magda and Valeria took care of everything while Johnny and Jan ate our complete stock of chips and cookies, talked and read a little. The line behind our truck got longer and longer…while the customhouse officers were trying to figure out what to do with our Experience Truck. Finally, after almost six hours we could cross the border at 22:15. We arrived in Odessa at 00.30.

The Forum
The last forum of this tour-stage: Odessa. Beautiful locations, lots of people, direct response: it looks like we saved the best for last! Since we won’t have another Forum for a while, we are a little melancholic. But…then there’s the city.. beautiful Odessa, to cheer us up! This port town was officially founded in 1794 by Katerina the Great, but before that it was already ‘visited’ by the Greek, Tatars and the Turkish. Later the French, Jews, Italians, Germans and of course the Russians also entered the city. You can still see this extreme diversity when you walk through the town. Not only the population is very diverse, there’s also a very rich architecture that is clearly influenced by different cultures. Duc de Richelieu (grandson of…), in duty of the Russians, determined today’s scene of the city. How? By taking a part of prosperous with a lot of nouveau riche and every well known brand represented. The mentality here is like every other port town in Europe. That makes Odessa one of the cities in our top3 at the end of this tour, together with Stockholm and Barcelona (also port towns!)

Odessa or Odesa (Ukrainian:

Odessa or Odesa (Ukrainian: Одеса; Russian: Одесса; Romanian: Odesa; Greek: Οδησσός; Yiddish: אדעס) is the administrative center of the Odessa Oblast (province) located in southern Ukraine. The city is a major seaport located on the shore of the Black Sea and the fourth largest city in Ukraine with a population of 1,029,000 (as of the 2001 census). The predecessor of Odessa, a small Tatar settlement, was founded by Hacı I Giray, the Khan of Crimea, in 1240 and originally named after him as "Hacıbey". After a period of Lithuanian control, it passed into the domain of the Ottoman Sultan in 1529 and remained in Ottoman hands until the Ottoman Empire's defeat in the Russo-Turkish War of 1792. The city of Odessa was founded by a decree of the Empress Catherine the Great in 1794. From 1819–1858 Odessa was a free port. During the Soviet period it was the most important port of trade in the Soviet Union and a Soviet naval base. On January 1, 2000 the Quarantine Pier of Odessa trade sea port was declared a free port and free economic zone for a term of 25 years."One may get useful information from this , after analyzing that whether it is true or not.Actually i came here while surfing net to get data related to projects of 000-200 and find this post different one...Is there anyone having information about 117-102?if yes than do tell me!Any updates? The way how u tried to explain some posts at here seems to me different...there are certainly different posts at here, but i didnt find any post related to projects like 1Y0-259...if someone have information about it,do tell me!Well any updates related to this post?if yes than do tell me!
