The Norwegian state-owned energy company Statkraft
 
On April 1st, the Norwegian state-owned energy company Statkraft announced that they had developed so-called gamma capturers that will capture the energy generated when stars explode. It was a joke, but maybe one day it will really be possible (dream a future!). Starkraft is one of the big players in Europe on the area renewable energy. It generates hydro-power, wind power and district heating. It already co-operated with Sweden-based pulp and paper manufacturer, SCA, to develop seven wind parks in wooded areas around Ostersund, Sweden in 2007, but it seems like it will take a little longer before star power will be developed… Nice advertisement though…
