The Cloud
 
`The Cloud’, is a responsive sculpture that interacts with people and gives feedback through sound and color. The organic sculptural landmark uses hundreds of sensors and over 15.000 individually addressable optical fibers. It’s an intelligent system that changes based on touch and other human input. The Cloud can also produce some music in respond to someone walking towards it, and then change the music when it ‘feels’ the person’s hands on it. The Cloud is the creation of the MIT Mobile Experience Lab as a long-term project that will creatively rethink the ‘Redesigning Fashion Trade Show’ concept and will propose innovative technologies, perspectives and sensory experiences. The Cloud can be found outside the Fortezza da Basso (Florence).
