Parliamental elections often lead to heavy emotions. That is no surprise to any country. But this year in Moldova, just after the departure of our Jaga Experience Truck, emotions got real high and resulted in riots in Chisinau. The riots got the name ‘colour revolution’ and were started by the opposition of Moldova, hoping for a revolution similar to the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. Below an (English) news broadcast about the riots.

The ‘Golden Child Sculpture’ by Ernst Neizvestny shows a bronze baby busting out of a metallic egg in front of the port station. It is a representation of the Golden Age. Locals believe that touching the toddler will ensure a successful voyage.

These guys from Vienna, members of the Graffiti Research Lab, created a ‘green way’ to make graffiti in the city without damaging buildings. With a laser light they can draw whatever they want on big buildings and their sketches are erasable with one push of a button. It’s better for the environment than aerosols and an innovative manner to be an artist without annoying other people.
