Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 21 - Andante

The music you hear is from the world-famous Mozart. This child prodigy was able to play different instruments and could make high standard compositions at a very young age. His music influenced musicians like Ludwig von Beethoven and Johannes Brahms.

Green way

These guys from Vienna, members of the Graffiti Research Lab, created a ‘green way’ to make graffiti in the city without damaging buildings. With a laser light they can draw whatever they want on big buildings and their sketches are erasable with one push of a button. It’s better for the environment than aerosols and an innovative manner to be an artist without annoying other people.

In 2010, we will live in a bigger and more varied Europe

“In 2010, we will live in a bigger and more varied Europe where everybody will be heard and be able to participate in and contribute to developments — hopefully in a more peaceful and richer world in which there will be less war and less poverty, but with more democracy and prosperity, in a world in which more and more people will actively participate instead of live in fear, persecution and poverty, in a clean and sound environment that is not reserved to a few, privileged rich people, but is open to as many people as possible.“

Great names lived their lives in Vienna

It’s no secret that great names lived their lives in Vienna. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig von Beethoven, Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Johann Strauss Jr. Johan Strauss Sr. Johannes Brahms, Arnold Schonberg, and a lot of other classical musicians lived in this big city between 1756 and 1951. During World War II, a lot of people died or fled, but that doesn’t mean that all the talent is out of Vienna. Nowadays ,we can enjoy the classical Vienna Boys’ Choir and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the more modern types such as Falco, Joe Zawinul and DJ Ötzi.

Eurogate

In the year 2000 an investigation was executed among the Austrian population about ecologically built houses. A builders’ merchant chain then reported that 64% of the population preferred ecological insulation materials, but the market only offered 4,6% ecological materials. Environmentalists warned that in 20 years’ time, the disposal of a demolished house would be more expensive than the construction of a new one.

The ideal city for the finish of the first part of our World Tour: Vienna. The language was much more understandable than in the last city and also the money was more easy to use for us. Our hotel is located in the second ‘bezirk’, very central. We are doing some sightseeing here. Unfortunately the weather isn’t cooperating… Anyhow, it’s a very beautiful city where we really want to come back!
