The Free Theatre of Belarus

The Free Theatre of Belarus, not yet a year old, has no home and no permanent troupe. It staged a while in a bar in an industrial neighborhood of Minsk, but the authorities warned the bar's owner to stop. The theatre now performs in private apartments and in places that are not openly advertised - and, increasingly, abroad.

Going to Belarus coming from Lithuania isn’t easy, especially not in a West-European Truck. First you have to go to the custom house documents get punches from the Lithuanian custom house, the land you’re leaving. When you found this man, you’ll have to try to explain (while you don’t speak any common language) where you want which punches and autographs. You’ll get a lot of punches on a thin little gray paper. After that you’ll go to the Belarusian border with your international passport. You’ll get 2 immigration documents.
